Fun fact about Gorilla

Nyungwe Forest is one of Africa’s oldest rainforests and one of the most biologically rich ecosystems in East Africa. Walking above the canopy allows students to observe the forest from a completely different perspective.

• Nyungwe Forest is estimated to be over one million years old
• The park is home to 13 species of primates
• More than 300 bird species live in Nyungwe
• Many of Rwanda’s major rivers begin in this forest
